Rev. Carole Already 2010 has presented some terrific opportunities for growth, not only for our fabulous spiritual community as a collective whole, but in my personal life as well. Sometimes it is difficult for me to differentiate between my personal life and the life of the Center so I must be thoughtful in this regard.
On April 26, 2010, we closed escrow on the sale of the building we purchased in 1999. It served us well for most of those years, but eventually it became a burden. When the Board and I decided it might be a good idea to sell the property and we announced it to the membership, we didn't know what response to expect. Surprisingly, all present and those we heard from later were in full agreement to sell and move to another location.
We thought we had a new location chosen, but at the last minute it fell through so we are on the search for our perfect place. We know we are guided and led by Spirit to find exactly what will serve us best in order to live our best life as a community.
Also along the way, I attended the Gathering in Denver in February. This Gathering was made up of United Centers for Spiritual Living and International Centers for Spiritual Living, the first such gathering since 1954 when the "split" happened. One of the most personally moving things happened on Wednesday in Denver. About 800 of us were gathered in the grand ballroom and were led by Rev. Dr. Marcia Sutton in a forgiveness ritual for all those in attendance at the 1954 meeting. The names of each participant was called and we sang a song of blessing for each one. It was such a solemn occasion for me, I completely lost my voice to emotion when the names of three of the women who were present were called. I felt so connected to them and felt they were set free by our blessing.
This led me to a deeper understanding of what is meant when we say "we are one". I'm convinced we are one, even after we have transitioned off the planet. It also answers a question I've had about why I am called to do more memorial services than any other ceremony. It is my calling to be a comfort between those who are gone and those who are still here.
Later in February I attended another gathering (Sister Giant) in LA led by Marianne Williamson and attended by approximately 500 women from more than 20 states across the US. . even a woman from Sweden attended, and a couple from Jamaica. Please see "Marianne Williamson" on our home page for details of this event. It is still providing change in my life and the way I see things. Watch this CSLC site for details for upcoming events in conjunction with the Sister Giant weekend.
How great it was to get that traveling out of the way and I could return home to my special pup, adopted last October. Roxie is a beautiful four & a half year old greyhound, a retired racer from the Caliente track in Tijuana, Mexico. What a special girl who really scored when she came to live with me! Her life before me was rough and unstable. The only thing she could count on was running the track and being mistreated. Now she runs for fun and not for her life. The website for the adoption agency is www.houndsavers.com in case youre interested.
Peace & Blessings!

Rev. Bill , who has been my friend for nearly 20 years, has decided to withdraw from the activity of ministry and as a practitioner. His spiritual journey is being traveled in a way that he feels his involvement with a group or community is something he can release. I support Bill in whatever endeavor he follows to a greater realization of his spiritual magnificence.
Bill is married to his beautiful wife Zelda, and they have two grown Children, Jason and Jessica, and a granddaughter, Presley.
Much love to you, my friend. You will always have a home with us.
Rev. Sandy, recipient of the “Youth Champion 2008” award from International Centers for Spiritual Living, will be primarily responsible for establishing and leading our Teen and Youth Groups. Rev. Sandy has established a young adult group for ages 19 to 30., meeting every other Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 pm at the Center.
Rev. Sandy Freeman-Loomis was a professional actress for 30-some years in New York City and Los Angeles, appearing in primetime and daytime series. She knew she'd found home when she went to her first Religious Science church and felt she was remembering something she'd always known, but didn't know she knew it. When her daughter, Alexandra Vincent, made her transition at the age of 17, Rev. Sandy was led into the ministry. Her Religious Science training was in Glendale, CA with Dr. Leo Fishbeck, Rev. Elizabeth Claire, Dr. Yvonne Smith, Rev. Helen Street and Dr. Arleen Bump. She has always been active in the Youth movement within ICSL. Rev. Sandy has pastored the North Tahoe Church of Religious Science in Tahoe City, CA, and the Science of Mind® New Thought Center in Sacramento, CA . She is here for God!
